Slit drums also recognized as Krins are very old percussion instruments. These are popular among different cultures all around the world. Slit drums is prepared from a part of tree branch which is hollowed out from the center of the log. Slit drums are played with two sticks. These differ in side from gigantic ones made of full size logs to pretty small. The origin of slit drums is credited to Africa. Few huge Slit drums can be seen in museums.
